 Leftwich Jewelers was founded in 1998, and has expanded from the small original location on Colonial Avenue, to a custom jewelry appraisal service. Vaunda Leftwich had for years produced The Roanoke Valley Bridal Showcase and published The Southwest Virginia Bridal Guide. After taking a sabbatical from the trade show production and publishing businesses, and the completion of several years of college course work, she then apprenticed with other jewelers to expand her educational background in gemology and to pursue her dream of jewelry design.
Vaunda has achieved degrees in pearl grading and diamond grading from the Gemological Institute of America. Vaunda strives for a more active knowledge of the client's jewelry preferences and works with them to achieve something personal and lasting, either by custom design, special order, or reworking a client's existing gemstones.
